The shift from vibe coding to configuring agents resonates. My setup evolved exactly this way—started writing prompts, now I'm configuring model routing, permission tiers, and task orchestration.

The engineering part isn't the AI. It's the systems around the AI. Memory persistence, cost control, deployment pipelines. Unglamorous but essential.

I have spent an inordinate amount of time grabbing debugging info for claude from stack overflow or Git because it fails and fails with well known bugs in well documented work flows. If I can do this and Claude Code needs my help.. hmm.. What I found worked better was not having Claude come in mid play. but be given a project "at the start" to create via NLP.. or shall we say guided NLP.. It performs better this way. Go figure.
